Safety at Work

"After I moved out, my ex-partner would come to my workplace and wait for me".  For safety at work and in public, here are some considerations:

• Telling your employer, co-workers and the security supervisor at your work.
• If there is a Restraining Order, give a copy to key people.  Always keep a copy available.
• Take a different route to and from work and/or park in a different area frequently.
• Use a different grocery store, shopping mall, or bank than those previously used.
• Be aware of the entrances and exits of your workplace so you will know how to escape if necessary.
• Have a co-worker screen your phone calls.
• Have a security officer or a friend escort to your car/bus etc.
• Carry a cell phone - emergency numbers should be programmed into the phone.
• Consider reporting this to the police.
